The NIR-radiation is very well absorbed by metallic surfaces. Therefore, heating processes are an ideal application in the area of coil processing. The adphos NIR Heat systems have been optimized for these processes.

Examples are: heating of coil – lamination lines or pre-aging ovens for aluminum coils.

Applications with temperatures of 100° C up to far beyond 1000° C have been proved. For annealing processes, ovens can also be built in an inert version. Next to the high degree of efficiency, the extremely constant coil heating and the exact temperature control lead to clear advantages compared to other technologies.
