adphos Technology- NIR Technology

Technical Information
The underlying principle of NIR®-Technology resembles the way a microwave oven works. Microwaves agitate the water molecules directly, in contrast to a conventional stove that has to heat up burners and pots before energy reaches the target substrate. However, NIR®-Technology's electromagnetic waves have an effect not only on water, as do microwaves, but also, at the highest energy density, molecules of various substances. As a result, NIR®-Technology can be implemented in a multitude of industrial processes using near-infrared radiation.

NIR® stands for Near InfraRed. This part of the short wave spectrum lies just above that of the visible spectrum. This is where the wavelength of electromagnetic radiation reaches its maximum energy density and optimum physical characteristics. Proprietary NIR® technology now makes it possible to use the unique physical properties of this part of the electromagnetic spectrum in industrial production processes for the first time.
