While conventional drying takes 5 – 10 seconds at a temperature of
70 – 90 °C in the drying oven, NIR CoilDry dries in just 0.1 – 0.3 seconds,

All existing systems, be they vertical or horizontal, air- or water-cooled, can be upgraded and made ready for use in just one maintenance session thanks to ‘Plug & Produce’. Thanks to its exceptionally compact design, NIR-CoilDry is generally installed as a horizontal version of length less than 2 m and a maximum length of 2 – 8 m if cooling is actually required. This is virtually impossible with conventional systems due to space restrictions. The sheeting transfer process requires no support structure, fewer or no deflection rollers and no technology for tightening up webs that are too loose and sagging.

The amount of space saved by NIR-CoilDry is staggering. While NIR-CoilDry supports the same or less width, it does not require the cumbersome support structure and countless deflection rollers used for the often 20 to 40 meter-long transport route through conventional dryers. Because drying takes place faster despite lower temperatures, cooling is in most cases obsolete.
